Ordinary Dream

I want with the fury and the fire from my belly  to the saliva in my mouth I want to taste it not to sit in the classroom,  learning a passive lesson I want to be in the driver’s seat diving into the belly of the whale; the pit of the experience  I want to…

I want

with the fury and the fire

from my belly

to the saliva in my mouth

I want to taste it

not to sit in the classroom,

learning a passive lesson

I want to be

in the driver’s seat

diving into the belly of the whale;

the pit of the experience

I want to taste

every flavor

to hear

every melody

every bird song

I might See

every color

so I might Touch

every end of every rainbow

not for the pot of gold

but to know

the experience of life fully lived

in passion

in privilege

in perspective

comes to be

woven

Into my DNA

for I am

a dreamweaver

I want

the wonder

the awe

the gazing over the pyramids

in a hot air balloon

with kin of my soul in the basket with me

playing Melodies over the streets

and singing their songs

I want the wind dusting my face

on the back a motorcycle

in the Bavarian alps

and the sweet romance

of Tuscany in the way the golden light

gleams on the river

as the gelato melts too quickly in the heat

of a summer evening

I want

the stories in the books

to reveal to me the tales

I have lived too

from the earth

to the moon

and back again to tell the tale

into the jungle

swinging on vines,

and jumping from waterfalls

playing Tarzan and Jane

I want

the passion

the fury

the fiery rage

for what is life

without it all

bumps and bruises included

broken hearts too

I’ll buckle up

and go to the edge

so I feel the wind in my feathers

both a whispering and a shout,

YOU

CAN

FLY

I WANT to keep tilting my head

across the liminal prism of perspective

and to know

that In me lives

more than this

Ordinary

Dream

I will

come home every day

not to the edge,

but to the center

to the place where

I rest, rejuvenate and remember

my temple within

in heart

I am

my empire of eternity

and I drink

fresh water from this fountain now

for Tomorrow’s memory will come sooner than later

so I dream life ahead

picturing the green green grass

the sound of laughter from my lover

to wake up again

and dream the dream alive

I will give this one life

MY ALL

not for you to see

but for me to be

In love

In this

Ordinary

Dream

I will stretch

my hamstrings in yoga

so that my legs can carry me

with loving ease

to the next journey

for I know

my hunger and thirst

for a life well lived

starts right here

the body

is the spirit

I will fuel the passion

wildly so that my hair is naturally curly

ecstatic for the day to come

and when I feel like wilting

I WILL WILT

for I know that death and decomposition

are compost

for the next best

season

put me in the ring

and I will sing

praise to my days

THANK YOU

in gratitude and grace

for my eyes

see in side too

building a beautiful empire

my soul is a garden

and the red rose is my heart

her chambers are four

and her stem has thorns

lifeline,

a silent companion

tune in and we might hear

how life plugs in

did you know

the center of a compass is called

A Compass Rose?

and there, the fragrance

sees it all

her eyes see out side too

they live

on my fingertips

and on the edges of my toes

they live wildly inside too

and see from the place that connects me

to the one who writes these words

to fall in love

with life

every day

even in the mundane

Ordinary

Dream

I will

be

free

to let myself be seen

free

to keep dreaming my dream

free

to hold your hand in confidence and say,

come along with me

free

to cry, when the sun sets

or the star shoots

and make my wishes

knowing with full conviction

that when I say it

from the truth of the center of my heart

there is no separation from me

and the universe

and so it is.

I will be

alive

wildly in my boredom too

I will scream to the top of my lungs on the roller coaster that takes me

for a ride.

and when I land and arrive home

the message written on my cup of tea

will still surprise me

I will call and say I love you

to the ones who accompany me

in this ordinary dream

for I know

LIFE IS MAGIC

WHEN I CAN SEE CLEARLY

I will count my blessings DAILY

for life

has surely

blessed me

for what is it all worth

if not to enjoy the magic

in the mundane

the mundane in the magic

and the joy of living a life

In

This

Ordinary

Dream
